(August 5, 2026) - Today, the American Alliance for Equal Rights filed a formal complaint with the Internal Revenue Service asking the agency to investigate whether the Avenue Foundation, a Portland, Oregon–based §501(c)(3) charitable organization, is operating in compliance with the requirements of federal tax law governing tax-exempt organizations.
